Our Mission is to bring equity in academic achievement "One" Bright Star Scholar at a time, through excellence in After School and Summer Programs.

  •  Daily Centering

Daily Centering is a fifteen-minute pause when all "Bright Stars" scholars assemble and share reflections on their day and focus on the core values that will help them to be the successful academic scholars that God created them to be--"making the world a bright place for all."

Bright Stars Lesson Plans, Arts & Crafts, S.T.E.A.M. and Educational Games afford Teachable Moments to learn more about how each scholar is uniquely different. 

  •  Connecting Hands / Parent-Teacher  Communication Agreement

"Bright Stars" works closely with your child's teacher throughout the Academic Year. Our goal is to enhance the communication between the parent, Bright Stars and the classroom teacher. "Bright Stars" accomplishes this by using our "Connecting Hands Communication Log." You may Download and Print the "Connecting Hands Communication Log" from our Forms page.

Parent Participation

Some of our Bright Stars participated in Central United Methodist Church Sunday service for Black History Month. Their Parents were proud supporters!

Registration Policy & Procedures

Parents must complete all Registrations forms in order to complete the enrollment process. If enrollment documents are not completed within the given time period, space may be lost and given to the next student on the waitlist.


The following documents are needed in order to complete the registration process at Bright Stars.

Bright Stars Registration Forms

+  Pickup Authorization / Transportation

+  Medical

+  Photo Release

+  Parent-Teacher Communication Agreement

A $20 Registration Deposit is due upon completion of Registration paperwork.  These forms are available to download and print from our Forms page.  

Parent(s) and child(ren) may come in and tour our facility by appointment. Call our number, (704) 579-7642 to schedule a time.

Parents which have the desire, willingness and availability to Volunteer at Bright Stars, please complete our Parent Volunteer Form.  We welcome your time, gifts, and support.  The Director will contact you upon completion of the sign up form.
